These Advanced-level (postgraduate) qualifications cover the essential knowledge and skills required to be an effective HR or Development practitioner. Through critical analysis and investigation, learners will develop understanding of the business and international context within which HR operates, as well as the role of HR in driving organisational performance. These programmes are most suitable for persons who:
o Have responsibility for human resource (HR) decision making within an organisation at either operational, tactical or more strategic level;
o Are HR professionals in a team or HR functional management role who are seeking to enhance and develop their career;
o Have responsibilities for the HR function and activities within an organisation without a specialist function;
o Are independent or employed consultants who support organisations in meeting their goals.
The Advanced Diploma in HRM consists of 8 units: HRM in context; Leading, managing and developing people; Developing skills for business leadership; Investigating a business issue from an HR perspective; Organisational design and development; Resourcing and talent management; Managing employment relations and Reward management.
The Advanced Diploma in HRD consists of 8 units: HRM in context; Leading, managing and developing people; Developing skills for business leadership; Investigating a business issue from an HR perspective; Designing, delivering and evaluating learning and development provision; Knowledge management and organisational learning; Organisational design and development; Resourcing and talent management
A combination of assessment activity drawn from a National Assessment Bank, national examination, portfolio development and 7,000 word report. Assessment evidence must be work based/related.
