Applicants who wish to meet the Chartered Technological Product Designer registration requirements must have an undergraduate degree accredited by IED to MIED level or academic qualifications that have been approved at MIED level through the IED Education and Training Committee or equivalent.

The role of Design Management covers aspects of project management, design and strategic planning to administer the creative process in a professional environment. By covering these topics with a focus on academic underpinning to real-life situations, our MA degree prepares you for a career in innovation and leadership within the fast-moving creative industries.
This MA will appeal to design organisations as well as engineering employers for the advancement of candidates holding a first degree, or equivalent qualification, in a design/engineering related field. The aim is to enhance existing skills and abilities by enabling a systematic approach to design and the decision-making process.
On this course you can benefit from opting to take a 30-week placement in industry, extending your course by a year, although this is not mandatory. This will give you essential real-world experience, placing your theory and skills into practice, and enabling you to harvest a network of professional contacts – all of which are vital for successfully launching a career.
