Course content

Looking to study before September 2020? Our GDL is the conversion course for non-law graduates, giving you the fundamental legal knowledge and professional skills you need to succeed in your future career as a solicitor or barrister. It is recognised as completion of the academic stage by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and Bar Standards Board (BSB).

Non-law (GDL) graduates are often in demand by recruiters as they can offer a diverse range of transferable skills. With our focus on employability, you will receive the best possible preparation to secure a training contract or pupillage.

Our LLM [Law Conversion] also provides the essential training to convert your non-law degree and qualifies for postgraduate funding up to £10,906.

Information for international students

If English is not your first language and you do not hold an honours degree that was delivered in English, you will be required to provide certified proof of ability in written and spoken English to at least IELTS 6.5 (overall) or equivalent with a minimum of 6.0 in each module.
