Entry requirements

UK applicants: Undergraduate qualification in Dentistry and Completion of at least one year in clinical practice and Current General Dental Council (GDC) practising certificate Overseas applicants: Undergraduate qualification in Dentistry and Completion of at least one year in clinical practice and Letter of good standing or equivalent from an appropriate regulatory dental body and IELTS score of 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in each component) Prior to commencing clinical placement: Current satisfactory immunization status and Current evidence of a satisfactory CRB check and Current evidence of malpractice indemnity insurance English Language: IELTS 6.5 (6.0 in each component) - The international office can assess your certificates and advise you if you meet the entry requirements. Course content

Fuelled by the media demand, elective, cosmetically driven dentistry is increasing, but dentists must be able to ensure that they have the restorative abilities to meet the challenge of high patient expectations. This MClinDent course takes your restorative skills to the next level building on undergraduate training enabling you to predictably plan the aesthetic outcome of even the most challenging restorative cases. Training encompasses periodontology, prosthodontics, endodontics and cosmetic dentistry. During this very practical course you will receive supervised training ensuring you will have the restorative competencies to confidently and consistently deliver highly aesthetic treatment outcomes consistent with oral health.

The Masters in Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) programme is delivered in collaboration with The City of London Dental School and is aimed at the professionals with an undergraduate degree in Dentistry and at least one year in clinical practice, who intend to expand on existing knowledge and skills. It instills the core skills that are essential for the professional practice of the postgraduate specialist area.

The objective is to provide dental surgeons with the core knowledge and clinical skills essential for the delivery of competent, high-quality dental care in accordance with regulatory and Royal College guidelines. Additionally, it is to promote an understanding of the different requirements essential to the provision of ethical, predictable and evidence-based treatment.
