Entry requirements
The course comprises of the following three 20-Credit Modules:
- Module 1: Concepts of Osteopathic Care
- The role of osteopathy in treatment and management of common sporting injuries
- Critical review and interpretation of the case-history presented by a sporting individual
- Critical review of pitch side/ on-field management of common sporting injuries
- Multi-disciplinary team work and legal issues in sports care
- Module 2: Exercise and Rehabilitation
- Neuro-muscular physiology
- Injury prevention and rehabilitation in sports
- Principles and practice of sports taping
- Module 3: Osteopathic Management of Common Sporting Injuries
- Osteopathic management of common sporting injuries
The course has been validated by Plymouth University.
