I managed to meet one of the academic staff members at Brunel before applying and I had a focused discussion on my proposed study area. This meeting reinforced my decision to apply for a PhD here

Learn from the best, with the best equipment which mirrors that used in the sporting arena. Being constantly reminded of the practical applications in a ‘real world’ setting is what set Brunel apart and allowed me to achieve my goals

Campus life

Brunel attracts students and staff from around the world, who live and work together as members of our single London campus community. Our campus is beautifully maintained, set within leafy surroundings, and our excellent facilities give our students a safe and welcoming setting to study and thrive. The campus provides everything you need within a ten-minute walk, including shops, medical centre, bank, cafes and accommodation. You’ll also find world-class sports facilities, a diverse arts centre, an active Students’ Union and multi-faith facilities.

We’re also well connected. The town of Uxbridge is just a short walk away where you’ll find plenty of shops, a multi-screen cinema and dozens of bars and restaurants. The hustle and bustle of city life is right on your doorstep too, with central London only 40 minutes away by tube and Heathrow Airport is just six miles away.

My course has been incredibly challenging and rewarding. The unique curriculum, hands-on teaching style and extensive knowledge of the teaching staff convinced me it was worth making the move from the United States to Brunel! It was quite possibly one of the best decisions I have made in my academic life.”

Robert Holland, Politics student

We guarantee accommodation on campus for all new students who meet their course conditions and apply by 27 August 2020. You’ll find comfortable and secure accommodation across the campus, with a range of rooms to suit different budgets and needs. To help you settle in, you’ll find student mentors in the residences who are there to support you when you arrive.
