You will need to be registered on the appropriate part of the NMC Professional Register and to have successfully completed the PGDip Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (School Nursing or Health Visiting).

This course is for students who have completed the PGDip Specialist Community Public Health Nursingand who wish to develop their academic skills in undertaking relevant research for practice.
Students will be able to apply systematic research into practice which is essential for continuing professional development.
The course is based on a work based project involving primary research and/or an extended literature review in their area of interest.
The student will then need to produce a dissertation based on that project. Support and supervision for the dissertation will be offered on an individual basis and guided reading for further study will be provided as necessary.
