Entry requirements

You must be a registered healthcare practitioner, e.g. Nurse, Physiotherapist, and have a minimum of two years post-qualifying experience. In addition you must hold a minimum of 60 credits at Level 6 and be currently employed in a relevant clinical practice area.

This course offers an exciting opportunity to explore this expanding field of advanced practice and is aimed at those working in areas of advanced practice within their respective primary or secondary care organisations.

Designed to enrich personal and professional development in advanced practitioner practice, this course will help enhance your knowledge and skills to improve clinical competence, leadership skills practice and service provision.

This programme will provide you with the skills and knowledge to practice at the cutting edge of advanced practice. You will focus on, and explore, both the professional and practice elements essential to work at an advanced level of practice. It also maps against the skills and knowledge framework.
