Entry requirements

As a professionally-accredited course, this programme is only open to applicants who are undertaking a substantial role in teaching and supporting learning in Higher Education. Applicants must have an honours degree and a regular teaching load of at least six hours per week at a UK Higher Education Institution.

Course content

This course content embeds the UK Professional Standards Framework of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and is concerned with the core knowledge, values, and areas of activity defined as best practice across the sector.

Over three core modules, you will explore theories and principles of planning and enabling higher learning and will engage in a programme of peer- and mentor-observations of teaching.

On successful completion of the programme, you will be eligible to apply for Fellowship of the HEA.
