Course content
This course is for artists/practitioners and project managers who wish to develop further knowledge, skills and understanding as confident leaders and managers in the arts.
You'll develop your conceptual and critical skills, which will allow you to engage with arts and management in an insightful way. The curriculum is designed to allow you to pursue opportunities within specialist fields of study, including a placement and undertaking an extensive independent project or dissertation of your choosing.
You will gain understanding of organisations, managerial techniques and arts practices in the current arts and cultural landscape in the UK.
You will have a placement that will enable you to develop greater self-awareness, professionalism and apply practical and organisational project management skills.
We have two sprung floor performance studios in Anselm, one of which is a studio theatre with ranked seating for 90. The theatre has a full lighting rig and technician box. We also have Daphne Oram creative arts building that has Mac labs, a sprung floor studio lab and an exhibition space. In addition, we have St. Gregory’s centre concert hall and a large sprung floor studio as part of our Sports Centre. There are also many outside spaces and gardens around Canterbury Christ Church University.
