Learn about the various structures and processes that enable life to continue in humans, animals and plants, as you delve deeper into biology with the Advanced Biology Diploma Course.
Dive straight in with a look at the cell structure and various transport mechanisms that molecules use to move in and out of cells. We’ll examine the structure of specific organic molecules and the structure and mechanisms of enzymes. We’ll also explore the mitotic cell cycle, the structure of nucleic acid and the process of protein synthesis.
The course covers the structure of the transport system in plants and animals, the structure of chloroplasts, the process of photosynthesis in plants, the process of homeostasis in plants and animals, and the structure of the gas exchange system of the body. We’ll also explore infectious diseases such as cholera, tuberculosis, malaria and AIDs, the process of cellular respiration, and the importance of ATP molecules in the body.
The course will guide you through the transmission of characters from parents to offspring and the selection and evolutionary process of living organisms. We’ll also look at biodiversity and various aspects of the ecosystem, and the process of genetic engineering along with its principles and advantages.
By studying this course, you will:

The Advanced Biology Diploma Course will take you up to 150 hours to complete, working from home. There is no time limit for completing this course, it can be studied in your own time at your own pace. This is a Level 4 course and will give you 150 CPD (Continued Professional Development) points. Upon completion of your course assessments, you receive 2 certificates. A certificate from the Centre of Excellence and a CPD certificate displaying the number of CPD points earned from the course. This course is endorsed by the Quality Licence Scheme. Therefore, upon successful completion of this course, learners can also receive a certificate of achievement from Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary, which lists the details of all the units the learner has completed as part of the course. (This certificate is optional and costs an additional £15).
