Covering a range of common ailments and issues, the Herbalism for Children Diploma Course provides the knowledge you need to start working safely and effectively with herbs for children of all ages – emphasising the use of herbs to support childrens' capacity to heal.
Through studying the Herbalism for Children Diploma Course, you’ll learn how to check the safety of a herb for each child and how to use safe, bespoke remedies for common ailments and conditions impacting the respiratory, digestive and urinary systems.
You’ll discover how to address skin issues, infectious diseases and how to use herbs to support a child’s emotional health. Furthermore, you’ll gain extensive knowledge of herbs that support the immune system.
You’ll learn how to make simple, yet astonishing, healing remedies for minor first aid situations and be guided through curating a useful dispensary of child-friendly herbs.
By studying this course, you will:
- Learn the safe use of herbs for children
- Become familiar with the respiratory, digestive, urinary, and immune systems of children
- Learn herbal remedies for common ailments and conditions
- Know how to use herbs for minor first aid
- Be guided through putting together a dispensary of child-friendly herbs

The herbs discussed can, unless a contraindication is stated, be used alongside prescribed medications once the prescribing doctor has agreed.

The Herbalism for Children Diploma Course will take you up to 150 hours to complete, working from home. There is no time limit for completing this course, it can be studied in your own time at your own pace. This is a Level 3 course and will give you 150 CPD (Continued Professional Development) points. Upon completion of your course assessments, you receive 2 certificates. A certificate from the Centre of Excellence and a CPD certificate displaying the number of CPD points earned from the course. This course is endorsed by the Quality Licence Scheme. Therefore, upon successful completion of this course, learners can also receive a certificate of achievement from Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary, which lists the details of all the units the learner has completed as part of the course. (This certificate is optional and costs an additional £15).
