Applicants should hold: A first or second class UK honours degree or equivalent qualification , and either: a professional qualification in teaching or Speech and Language Therapy or: at least two years' experience in an educational setting working with children with speech, language and communication needs.

Course content

This unique course is offered jointly by City University London and University College London Institute of Education. Its distinctive focus is support for children with speech, language and communication needs in schools from the perspective of the key professions involved. If you are a speech and language therapist, teacher or school-based practitioner providing language support in a school setting, this exciting programme will deepen your knowledge and understanding of current theories, cutting-edge research and scientific evidence in the field. Completing the programme will strengthen your credentials as a specialist in this area and will provide you with a directly relevant higher degree recognised across work settings and countries.
