•Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a adult nurse •A graduate with a 2.2 honours degree or above •Six months clinical experience as an adult nurse •Criminal Records Bureau and Occupational Health clearance. Due to the high demand for places on NHS funded courses, as well as meeting the stated academic entry requirements, applicants will be required to attend a selection day held at City University London. You will be asked to complete the NHS Constitution Assessment, which is used to demonstrate that your values match those of the NHS Constitution.

As a midwife you will be working with families and parents at one of the most important times of their lives. You will be caring for and supporting women and their partners during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period.
The Postgraduate Midwifery Diploma (78 week shortened course for Nurses) prepares qualified adult nurses to pursue a rewarding and challenging career in midwifery. Nurses will be able to specialise and enter a career in midwifery, where they can support women and their families at crucial stage in their lives
Fees and funding
As a student on this salaried course at City University London you will be entitled to funding from the National Health Service (NHS) which will cover the full costs of your tuition fees for the duration of your course. The funding is not a loan and you will not be expected to pay any tuition costs back after you graduate from the course. The conversion fee for 2015-2016 is £2,000 and £4,000 for overseas students.
