Entry requirements

To be admitted to the MBA Finance programme, applicants must possess: A good 2nd class honours degree in a related Business or Management discipline, and at least 2 years work experience after completing their undergraduate degree programme. Applications are assessed on an individual basis and alternative qualifications, and/or extensive work experience are considered. Applicants whose first language is not English must have a minimum IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Course content

Gain critical understanding and evaluation of the forefront of corporate finance theories and empirical evidence, furthermore to understand the critical nature of financial risk. Make sound financing, investment and asset valuation decisions with reference to the implications of the efficiency of capital markets. Evaluate alternative financing methods and distribution policies.

MBA Finance provides recognition in the form of an award for those students who wish to tailor their programme to ensure a combination of generic MBA modules, with some specialist coverage of the financial environment, the finance function and the key financial issues facing modern organisations.

MBA students will have at least two years' work experience although it is expected that the majority of students will have more than two years. All MBAs have a strong professional emphasis.
