Course content

International Business and Marketing programme at DMU offers in-depth knowledge of major functions, and key topics within business and marketing. The programme equips students with academically relevant knowledge and practical skills that are necessary to succeed in the uncertain, increasingly globalised world and enhance employability.

Throughout this course, you will learn why and how firms go international, as well as what determines the success and failure of firms in today’s international business environment. You will gain an understanding of international marketing and how it’s affected by companies operating on a multinational level. You will also learn about core concepts, theories, practices of buyer behaviour and branding as well as their application in the international business context.

Education 2030

We want to ensure you have the best learning experience possible and a supportive and nurturing learning community. That’s why we’re introducing a new block model for delivering the majority of our courses, known as Education 2030. This means a more simplified timetable where you will study one subject at a time instead of several at once. You will have more time to engage with your learning and get to know the teaching team and course mates. You will receive faster feedback through more regular assessment, and have a better study-life balance to enjoy other important aspects of university life.

Key features

  • You will be taught by expert academics with first-hand experience of researching or working in marketing and business areas.
  • During the programme you will have the opportunity to attend guest lectures from prominent industry professionals, who will help to enhance your learning through delivering their own personal experiences and knowledge.
  • Benefit from Education 2030, where a simplified ‘block learning’ timetable means you will study one subject at a time and have more time to engage with your learning, receive faster feedback and enjoy a better study-life balance.
