Entry requirements

Applicants should normally possess a 2.1 (Hons) degree in any discipline and have teaching experience. Applicants must also set up a work placement within an educational setting for the duration of the MA course. For applicants with appropriate existing qualifications (e.g. PGCE), the course will actively seek to offer accredited prior learning facilities of up to 60 credits. This should be discussed with the course leader at application stage. Non-standard applications will be considered accordingly.

Existing teachers are encouraged to use their own place of work as a basis for assignments; Develop career prospects in the education industry; Accredited prior learning of up to 60 credits may be offered subject to individual circumstances; All Education Studies staff are experienced and qualified teachers and are recognised by the university for excellent teaching and for curriculum design and innovation.

This course is ideal if you wish to further your career. It fits with the latest demands of the Training andDevelopment Agency for teaching staff to be educated to master's level and will help prepare and build on the demands of National Professional Qualification for Headship. The course is also an ideal vehicle for those wishing to work and research in the academic
discipline of Education Studies.
