A first degree in an appropriate subject such as chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental sciences, biotechnology, biology etc. Engineering graduates with a strong science background can also be considered. If you are uncertain as to whether you meet these criteria you should consult one of the course co-ordinators. As the course is taught in English, if English is not your native language you should provide proof of your English ability by, for example, the IELTS or TOEFL tests.
Months of entry
Course contentThe course comprises ten taught modules and a final project that is equivalent to a double module. Some of the modules are taught entirely in one of the three centres whilst others are spread across all three. The final project applies the skills and knowledge that you have gained during the course to a practical or literature-based project, which is normally undertaken in Leicester. Where appropriate the project may be carried out elsewhere; either in industry or at one of the other participating institutions.
