Entry requirements

Entry to the postgraduate certificate candidates generally requires an honours degree or its equivalent, they should be currently employed in a higher education institution, or equivalent, in a full-time or part-time capacity as a lecturer or its equivalent, have a minimum of three hours per week teaching in higher education to meet the assessment requirements of the course and made a personal commitment to fulfilling the demands of the course: have gained support and commitment from their school / department manager and Faculty Director. Candidates can progress from the postgraduate certificate to the postgraduate diploma and then to Masters programme.

Course content

This programme is for lecturers in all universities and third level insitutions, from all subject disciplines. It is the first Postgraduate programme in the Republic of Ireland exclusively for lecturers, it consists of three part-time modularised courses.
