The minimum admission requirement for entry to the programme is an Honours Bachelors degree (level 8) in a relevant science discipline and English language certification of at least IELTS level 5.0 overall with IELTS level 5.0 in English writing, or an equivalent. Applicants are expected to be be able to demonstrate relevant scientific, analytical or technical ability either through the discipline of their previous qualification or through their work or life experience.
Months of entry
The International PreMasters for MScs in Food Safety Management and Environmental Health and Safety is a one year Programme which offers graduates from scientific but non-Environmental Health disciplines an opportunity to acquire core knowledge of Environmental Health necessary to be eligible for entry into the MSc in Food Safety Management and the MSc in Environmental Health and Safety. Students will also develop English Language skills to bring them to a level appropriate for undertaking a Masters level programme.
The philosophy behind this programme is to diversify the intake profile for the two Environmental Health Masters programmes, ensuring that graduates with a broad range of background scientific specialism receive the prerequisite core Environmental Health knowledge.
