Entry requirements

Either a First Class Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or 2:1 Integrated Master's degree (e.g. MPhys) or Masters degree.

Course content

Durham has one of the largest departments of physics in the country. The department possesses excellent facilities for research in experimental and theoretical physics. The MSc by research provides the opportunity for potential transfer to PhD.

Information for international students

English language requirements include an IELTS of 6.5 or equivalent with no element below 6.0.
