To join this programme you should have a first or upper second class honours degree in a Computing related discipline. In exceptional circumstances, students with a lower second with demonstrable knowledge of their subject matter may be admitted at the department's discretion. Each applicant will be required to submit a short research proposal. A formal registration interview/viva will be held for each candidate.

This Masters by Research (MRes) in Computing is a highly flexible, taught postgraduate programme designed to provide intensive research training, as well as the opportunity to work on a dissertation project under the supervision of experts in your selected area of study.
You will also have the opportunity to enhance your theoretical and practical knowledge in a subject of interest by choosing from a wide range of the modules available on relevant taught Masters degrees.

Overseas applicants will be considered on an individual basis and will be expected to demonstrate IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
