To join this PGCert you should have a degree equivalent to UK first class or upper second class honours (2:1 or above) in any discipline. Students with a lower second (2:2) honours degree may be admitted at the Business School’s discretion.

Course content

This Postgraduate Certificate is designed to enhance the employability of graduates from a wide range of disciplines through the development of skills in enterprise and entrepreneurship. You will develop your understanding of management, as well as analysis techniques, via the use of structured in-depth case studies. This guided learning provides the basis for undertaking a bespoke project based around either a new business venture or solving an existing management problem in an organisation that you are familiar with. Whether you are seeking employment opportunities at graduate level or looking to start your own business, this programme will enable you to demonstrate and evidence your ability to look at complex management issues and provide innovative and effective solutions.

Fees and funding

Tuition fees for full-time study on this Postgraduate Certificate are: £1,620 for UK and EU students and £4,200 for international students enrolling on the programme in academic year 2017/18; £1,680 for UK and EU students and £4,300 for international students enrolling on the programme in academic year 2018/19. Tuition fees for part-time study on this Postgraduate Certificate are: £27 per credit for UK and EU students enrolling on the programme in academic year 2017/18, i.e. £540 per 20 credit module; £28 per credit for UK and EU students enrolling on the programme in academic year 2018/19, i.e. £560 per 20 credit module.

Assessment

You will be assessed through a combination of business reports that provide analysis of real world case studies, as well as presentations and the development of a strategic business plan.
