Course content

When an athlete is injured, the pressure is on to get them back to full fitness. With hands-on learning, you’ll become confident planning and implementing effective sports therapy. We’ll also prepare you to carry out specialist research so you can unravel the rehabilitation process and unlock new knowledge. Our MSci is a four-year integrated Masters degree, combining undergraduate and postgraduate study. If you see yourself shaping the future of sports therapy, this is the perfect match for you. Become an expert, experience treating athletes on placement and explore your own research interests. This course is accredited by The Society of Sports Therapists, which means you’ll be working to the highest professional standards. Plus, when you graduate, you’ll be eligible for membership of The Society of Sports Therapists which carries professional indemnity insurance. The Department of Sport and Physical Activity has excellent multipurpose facilities, including specialist laboratories, dedicated sports therapy clinical areas and bespoke rehabilitation and musculoskeletal suites. We also have football, rugby and hockey pitches; tennis courts; athletics track and field; a swimming pool and a fitness suite. All of which you’ll use as part of your study on our sports therapy degree.
