Entry requirements

The normal minimum entry criteria is a 2:1 undergraduate honours degree in a relevant subject which does not impart specialist knowledge or skills in relation to nutrition, such as nursing, midwifery, health and social care, pharmacy, medicine or biology. An interview will form part of the selection process.

Course content

This MSc in Applied Clinical Nutrition is intended for frontline health professionals who provide advice to the public about nutrition-related aspects of health and disease.

It has been developed to meet the growing need for community and acute care professionals to have a fundamental knowledge of nutrition, as they become increasingly tasked with the responsibility to provide nutritional support and advice.

If you are a health professional looking to advance your knowledge of the role nutrition plays in managing health to a high level, then this course will equip you with the necessary nutritional expertise to work alongside nutrition-based health professionals in clinical and non-clinical settings and make an important contribution to the nutritional wellbeing of patients.
