To join this programme you must be a qualified midwife or nurse working in maternity provision, with a minimum of one year's professional experience and evidence of recent employment in health care settings. You must have a Bachelor's degree (minimum 2:2) or an equivalent qualification from a recognised overseas Higher Education Institution.

Course contentThis programme offers midwives and nurses working in maternity settings around the world with an opportunity to study at Masters level. You will gain a global perspective on midwifery care whilst advancing your knowledge and developing new academic and evidence-based skills.
The programme lays firm foundations in the key concepts of midwifery in a global context and seeks to promote positive values and attitudes that recognise and respect individual and cultural diversities and challenge discriminatory practice.
