Entry requirements

You will have an undergraduate degree in an art & design or related subject (including product design engineering) or evidence of industry experience in an appropriate discipline. All candidates are interviewed with a portfolio of creative work or technical/business projects. Applicants from overseas can be interviewed by teleconference with an online portfolio.

Course content

The MA/MDes Product Design Prototyping allows you to explore the design of products through physical and virtual modelling. You will work with a range of additive and reductive rapid prototyping processes, alongside traditional model making to develop and test products for small-batch and mass production as well as digital crafts.

You will learn:
