Entry requirements

You should already hold an undergraduate degree in Architectural Technology or Architecture. However, the course is also suitable if you are already working in the construction industry (for example as an architectural technician) and are seeking to improve your formal qualifications. You will be required to submit a portfolio of work and attend an interview.

Course content

This course is studied full-time over one year; part-time over two yearhs. You will learn by a variety of teaching methods including lectures, tutorials, seminars, laboratory sessions and through independent study. The course is split up into three trimesters.

Trimester 1
Concrete Form & Construction, Sustainable Building Design, a choice of either: Building Performance 1 (Acoustics & Sound Insulation) or Building Performance 2 (Lifetime Homes)

Trimester 2
Building Performance 3, Timber Form & Construction, a choice of either: Advanced Digital Media or Regulation, Certification & Compliance (Scotland)

Trimester 3
Dissertation
