Entry requirements

A recognised honours degree (or other qualification at equivalent level), or an alternative qualification and appropriate experience. This course is broad based and targeted at a diverse student body, including civil engineers, electrical engineers, building services engineers, mechanical engineers, architects, architectural technologists, quantity surveyors, lawyers, accountants and estate managers. Candidates with a background in the social sciences seeking to gain an understanding of sustainable development are encouraged to apply.

Course content

Based over one year full-time or three years part-time, the course will involve lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions and independent study.

Trimester 1

Sustainability and Environment, Environmental Law, Sustainable Building Design

Trimester 2

Waste Management, Integrated Management Systems, choice of: Sustainable Urban Property Development, Sustainable Water Resources Management

On completion of Trimester 1 you will be eligible for a Postgraduate Certificate. After Trimester 2, a Postgraduate Diploma.
