Entry requirements

You'll need an Honours degree in bio-molecular sciences, such as biology, biomedical science, molecular biology, immunology, genetics, virology or pharmacy. Alternatively, you may have a degree equivalent qualification or a degree without Honours plus appropriate experience gained in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries, or as a medical laboratory scientific officer.

Course content

You'll learn by a variety of teaching methods including lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and through independent study. There may also be some opportunities to study abroad.

Trimester 1
Biology of Disease & Therapeutics, Advanced Immunology, Toxicology

Trimester 2
Biomedical Applications of Molecular Biology, Clinical Aspects of Biochemistry, Microbial Pathogenesis

Trimester 3
Independent research project
