Entry requirements

You'll need a recognised honours degree or equivalent for entry into this course. Alternatively, you may have an equivalent professional qualification, or qualifications and experience that are equivalent. In this case, you will be asked to produce a specified piece of work as part of the selection process. All applicants will be interviewed for selection, with all students being required to enrol as student members of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD).

Course content

This course involves lectures, tutorials and independent study. A part-time study option is also available. It is possible to exit the course with a Postgraduate Diploma in HRM and Graduate CIPD Membership.

Trimester 1
People Management and Leadership Practice, The Organisational Context of HR, Employment Law

Trimester 2
Employee Resourcing, Learning and Development, Labour Relations, Research Skills and Professional Development (including 20 day work placement).

Trimester 3
Dissertation

On completion of the course you will be awarded Graduate membership of the CIPD.
