Entry requirements

To apply, you must be a practising professional with a BSc (Hons) or equivalent experience. In addition, you must have current or recent experience in a child welfare or protection setting.

Course content

Based over three trimesters, the course is conducted as a blended learning process, involving a combination of lectures, tutorials, online study, workshops and independent study.
This award also has optional exit points at Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma levels.
Trimester 1:
Child Protection in Context, Exploring Professional Roles in Context, plus one core module.
Trimester 2:
Research Methods, Child Protection - Risk to Reality, plus one core module.
Trimester 3:
Dissertation.
