UK degree (or equivalent) which does not confer Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with British Psychological Society (BPS) and a minimum of 20 credits in psychology at SCQF 7 level or above.
In some cases, there may be a recommendation of a further 40 credits of psychology prior to entry
Each application to GCU is considered on an individual basis. If you do not have the typical academic entry qualifications, but can demonstrate relevant work experience and/or credits from recognised professional bodies, you may be eligible to enter this course via the University's Recognition of Prior Learning scheme.

Our challenging programme is an entry requirement for most accredited postgraduate training courses in the field – including the areas of clinical, health, educational, occupational and forensic psychology. It is accredited to confer eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) from the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Our advanced facilities include four large teaching labs as well as recording-equipped, one-way observation rooms to help you get the most out of your training experience. You’ll also complete an empirical research project, as well as core BPS-accredited modules covering cognitive, biological, social and developmental psychology; conceptual and historical issues and research methods.

Information for international students
IELTS score of at least 6.0 (with no element below 5.5) If you do not meet the English language requirements, you may be eligible for the English for University Study programme. International students who do not meet the academic requirements may be eligible for the International Graduate Diploma programme. Successful completion of this INTO course with the required grades means guaranteed conditional offer of a place on the degree programme at Glasgow Caledonian University.
