Entry requirements

UK Honours degree 2:2 (or equivalent) in a people or business-centred subject area or relevant postgraduate diploma or MBA; or relevant HND plus appropriate work experience. Non-standard applicants with relevant work experience may also be considered. In the application form under the section headed 'Additional Information' the admission tutor will be looking for applicants to write about their interest in the programme, insight into working with others, and future career aspirations that involve responsibility for managing people in some way

Course content

International organisations draw on talent and expertise from all over the world. They rely on human resource professionals with cultural awareness and a global perspective. The MSc International Human Resources Management prepares you to meet that need.

The programme is one of only four in the UK to be accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and aligned with standards set by the US Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). It's also mutually recognised by the Australian Human Resources Institute. Since the professional qualification you'll earn is respected all over the world, you'll be a competitive candidate for jobs in any location.

The MSc International Human Resource Management programme is available both full-time and part-time, offering more options for recent graduates and working professionals with busy careers.

The curriculum incorporates a global perspective at every level.

Full-time students will also complete a work experience placement - and both full-time and part-time students conduct a hands-on research project in international human resource management.

Information for international students

If your first language is not English, you will need to have an Academic IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no element less than 5.5.

International students who do not meet the academic requirements may be eligible for the International Graduate Diploma programme. Successful completion of this INTO course with the required grades means guaranteed conditional offer of a place on the degree programme at Glasgow Caledonian University.

If you do not meet the English language requirements, you may be eligible for the English for University Study programme.

Fees and funding
