Candidates are required to be a Registered or Listed Veterinary Nurse. In addition, a minimum of a second class degree in veterinary nursing or an animal science subject; alternatively the Dip AVN (RCVS) with evidence of success in level 6 study. You will also need time, energy and commitment.
Months of entry
There are very few opportunities within the UK to expand your knowledge in specialist areas of veterinary nursing. Depending on your available time and areas of interest you can study for a Postgraduate Certificate (PgC), Postgraduate Diploma (PgD) or even a Masters (MSc). The programme is designed to be flexible and students study triads of modules to gain a certificate in their particular area of interest.
