Months of entry
Our new MSc Chinese-English Translating programme, formerly MSc Chinese-English Translation and Computer-Assisted Translation Tools, is aimed at those who want to work as professional translators or in the field of translating. Students work in both directions between Chinese and English.
The programme has its main focus on translation and translation technologies, but with fewer mandatory courses and a much broader range of optional courses in professionally relevant subjects you can tailor your programme to your interests and professional needs.
Mandatory courses taken are:
- Translation Practice 1 (Chinese-English)
- Translation Practice 2 (Chinese-English)
- Translation Technologies
- Translation & Interpreting Studies
Four further optional courses from a range including Business Communication, Liaison Interpreting for Business, Liaison and Public Service Interpreting, Project Management are also taken.
