Entry requirements

In order to apply for the program: Candidates must have obtained an Upper Second Class BA degree with Honors (2.1) or equivalent completed. Non-native English speakers must provide proof of English language proficiency: IELTS: 7.0 overall (with 2 minimum component scores at 6.0/6.5 & rest 7.0+) TOEFL: 105 overall (ITB)

Course content

Drawing upon the expertise of an international group of professionals, visiting lecturers and our core team of professors, you will learn about the historical context surrounding art and collecting, the development of the art market in Europe up to the early 20th century and its mechanisms today.

1st year: History of Art from 1500-1900 and Structures of the Art Market, intensively taught through lectures, seminars, visits and workshops with study trips abroad.

2nd year: In-depth research seminars and business workshops in London; writing the dissertation.
