2:1 or better either in a scientific, technological or medical subject, or in languages. Advanced proficiency in at least one language besides English.

Course content

The programme covers translation of the following text-types: scientific texts, medical texts, technical texts and software and web pages. Subtitling is covered in an optional module. The practical translation work will be clearly linked to the use of the most up-to-date computer-based translation tools. This twin-track approach is designed to enhance participants' employability.

Information for international students

English requirements: IELTS 6.5 (with 6.0 in written element) OR TOEFL 650 (with 4.5 in written element) OR Cambridge Proficiency C.
