The opportunities that KIC InnoEnergy gives us are hard to quantify: we meet companies and start-ups, we exchange ideas and cooperate with hundreds of other people with the same goals in life, we develop business knowledge and soft skills that normal engineering degrees would never support you to do. Master's in Clean Fossil and Alternative Fuels
The MSc Clean Fossil and Alternative Fuels Energy programme explores ways of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels and enabling integration with cleaner, sustainable alternatives. Giving you engineering and commercial skills that are very much in demand worldwide, the programme offers you the chance to make a substantial contribution to reducing emissions in your country and beyond.

European Master's in Nucleur Energy (MSc EMINE)
The MSc EMINE programme teaches tomorrow’s nuclear engineers how to address the key technical, social and environmental challenges faced by the industry today and in the future. Going beyond the scope of a traditional nuclear education, the programme helps tomorrow’s engineers understand nuclear power in the context of a diverse energy mix.

Master's in Energy Technologies (MSc ENTECH)
A broad-based education in a variety of key engineering disciplines. A focus on the inter-disciplinary aspects of the sustainable energy sector. And an in-depth understanding of the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in the future energy industry. MSc ENTECH enables you to think in new ways about energy, and gives you a solid foundation from which to meet tomorrow’s energy challenges.

Master's in Pathways for Sustainable Energy Systems (MSc SELECT)
MSc SELECT is where you can learn how to make a real contribution to minimising the environmental impact of current and future energy systems. Students learn to address societal challenges with technical solutions, to explore the part played by innovation and commerce, and to understand the role and responsibility of engineers in a more sustainable energy industry.

Master's in Smart Electrical Networks and Systems (MSc SENSE)
Smart electric grids are a critical component in the creation of a more sustainable power supply. MSc SENSE enables you to develop the engineering and entrepreneurial skills needed to understand, design, implement and manage smart grids, while enhancing your understanding of the role played by new ways of thinking, new technologies and new businesses in this changing landscape.

Master's in Energy for Smart Cities
Combining urban planning and energy management, in-depth engineering skills and innovation management techniques, studying for the MSc Energy for Smart Cities enables students to play a critical role in shaping a rapidly urbanising world, and exploring how to create smarter, more sustainable and resource-efficient communities.

Master's in Renewable Energy (MSc RENE)
Offering a holistic view of renewable energy, the MSc RENE programme focuses on technologies and business strategies that will have the greatest impact on the cost, security, and sustainability of our energy supply. The programme offers you the chance to engage with successful entrepreneurs, major businesses, and public bodies, giving you unique insight into the management of energy businesses worldwide.

Future career prospects

The support from some of the biggest players in the energy sector, including ABB, Total, Iberdrola and EDF, gives you the possibility to connect with your future employer whilst still studying on the Masters programme. Participation of industry is evident in summer schools, study visits, guest lectures, degree projects and internships. You may find yourself working on industry related problems or writing a business plan for a real start-up.

Ninety-three per cent of all our graduates secure a job within six months of graduating - and they earn on average 15 per cent more than their peers.

English language support

All our programmes require proficiency in English. This means that all our teachers and students are fluent in English.

My experience was amazing. The ESADE Summer School is incredible, a real life changer. The journey during the first year is spectacular, and the connections inside my programmes helping me to find the internship for my Thesis. I would choose it ten times again!

Fees, funding and costs

The participation fee is 12000 €/year. Costs related to events integrated in the curriculum are covered by the programme and included in the participation fee. If you are nominated for a scholarship as indicated below, the participation fee is waived. Read more about fees and scholarships here.

Location

Our strong international mobility concept means that you spend your first year at one university, your second year at another. Most programmes also have the possibility for a summer school or internship.

After successfully completing the programme, you’ll receive a double degree, one from each university.

All our partner universities are located in cities with vibrant student life. Some of them known as the best student cities in Europe. Since all cities are characterised by an international environment all kinds of food are available in restaurants and shops.
