- an upper second class degree or above in a relevant area and/or two years' work experience in the creative industries; - an exciting and creative portfolio; - an understanding of the context of the creative economy; and - the ability to explain why this course will be of value to them personally. We also carefully consider non-standard entrants with relevant personal and work experience who can demonstrate the interest, commitment and ability.
Months of entry
If you are currently employed in fashion, or would like to develop a career in the fashion industry, this course is ideal. It will introduce you to the UK fashion industry and broaden your understanding of the relationship between the design, production, mediation, distribution and consumption of fashion.
What will you study
You will explore the ways fashion designs, collections and products are showcased and presented across the media and retail sectors, and develop your own creative project.
This MA is cross-faculty, interdisciplinary, and extremely practical. By the end of the course, you will have developed a strong critical understanding of the various challenges faced by the UK fashion industry and acquired the practical and entrepreneurial skills you need to succeed on this creative career path.
