Months of entry
We host a thriving international and transcultural community of PhD students working across a range of literary genres and research projects.
Our pioneering virtual learning and research facilities have enabled the PhD to be studied by distance learning from overseas – and facilitated with ‘blended’ learning on campus – bringing together students working in English from all over the world to share creative work and critical readings.
We have particular supervisory strengths in contemporary poetry, long fiction, short fiction, narrative and new media as well as research that explores a sense of place, conflict, cultural tensions and synergies.
The Lancaster Writing Programme is able to offer supervision in poetry, fiction, short fiction, creative non-fiction and script-writing. Its staff are all well-known and highly respected authors.
