Entry requirements

The degree or equivalent requirement for the SQE pathway has been broadened. If you have a degree (in any subject), or equivalent qualification, you can meet the SRA’s requirement. Equivalent Level 6 qualifications include apprenticeships and other forms of work experience in which learning has been completed successfully at Level 6.

For example, the Law Training Centre offers CLC- Licensed Conveyancer or Probate Practioner Level 6 Diploma. This qualification would meet the ‘degree or equivalent’ requirement. Our SQE1 Assess course does not have any entry requirements.

Course content

SQE1 Assess course is ideal for confident learners seeking to gain mock experience ahead of their SQE1 assessments, or as a useful tool to help you identify the level of preparation you require and a suitably supportive prep course. The SQE route was introduced in England and Wales from September 2021 as a single, national licensing examination that presents the opportunity for greater flexibility of study methods, less cost and no training contract needed to qualify as a solicitor.

With SQE1 Assess, you have access to mock assessments for both the FLK1 (Functioning Legal Knowledge 1) and FLK 2 (Functioning Legal Knowledge 2) subjects that will be covered in your SQE1 assessment. On completion of your mocks, you will receive both an explanation of the correct answer, as well as the related assessment specification information so that you can identify the subject and area of knowledge relevant to the question to assist you in planning any additional revision or study you may require.
