Entry requirements

You should have at least a 2:2 honours degree in a related subject and one year's work experience in a relevant field including travel, tourism, hospitality, business, economics, marketing, environmental management, ecology, development, cultural heritage management, project management or planning, or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. The English language requirement for this course is IELTS 6.0 with no skill below 6.0 (or equivalent).

Course content

The travel and tourism industry is more aware than ever of the need to adopt responsible business practices that improve the quality of life within local communities and conserve the environment and cultures of destinations. This course meets the demand to develop managers with the ability to implement responsible tourism strategies within marketing, operations and product development.

You will explore domestic and international tourism understanding that responsible principles are as applicable to the Yorkshire Dales as they are to The Gambia.
