Entry requirements

Applicants should either have a second class honours degree and at least two years' full-time (1200 hours) English language teaching experience within the last five years or have substantial English language teaching work experience.

Course content

We provide academic and professional development for experienced English language teachers who are looking to advance their careers within the profession. Successful completion offers automatic entry on to semester two of our MA English Language Teaching (MA ELT).

You will refine your expertise with feedback from experienced tutors following lesson observations, and you will enhance your understanding of language and methodology by taking part in workshops, through reading and research, and by planning and teaching lessons and courses.

Taught by highly qualified and experienced teacher trainers, this prestigious qualification for English language teachers also confers TEFL-Qualified status as defined by the British Council accreditation scheme.
