Entry requirements

You should have at least a 2:2 honours degree that gives eligibility for membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Landscape Institute or similar bodies, or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. Experience in this instance will be assessed by the course team and supported by a reflective essay. IELTS: 6.0 with no skills below 5.5 (or equivalent).

Course content

Become a spatial planning expert with the ability to advise clients on the use of land and understand local authority controls relating to many aspects of policy including transportation, communities, the environment and quality of the built environment.

You will study the rationale behind spatial planning and you will be encouraged to reflect on your own work as you develop your self-awareness and explore the ethics of planning practice.
