Entry requirements

The course is open to registered health care professionals normally with a minimum of 5 years experience and who are working or are required to work in an advancing practice role. Applicants should have completed the Postgraduate Diploma Advanced Practice before applying for the top up award. International Entry requirements. The English requirement for this course is IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.5 or equivalent.

Course content

This course aims to equip health practitioners with the knowledge and skills required to lead and develop practice, diagnostics, therapeutics, decision-making and clinical management. This client-centred and clinically focused course will help you develop the skills essential for an advanced role as a nurse practitioner, community matron or practitioner working in a walk-in centre or 'out of hours' service.

Information for international students

A scholarship of £1500 is offered to all new full-time overseas fee paying students joining the first year of a course in 2012/13. We also offer a 10% early payment discount. Please see our website for more information.

Fees and funding

A scholarship of £1500 is offered to new full-time students studying an MA, MSc or MBA who are eligible to pay Home/EU fees. For Postgraduate Diplomas, Postgraduate Certificates, or part-time courses, a pro rata scholarship is available. Please see our website for more information.
