You should have at least a 2:2 honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. IELTS: 6.0 with no skills below 5.5 (or equivalent).
Months of entry
Develop your existing legal knowledge and complete modules that allow you to work towards becoming a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) and be recognised as a Chartered Legal Executive lawyer.
You will study on campus on a weekly basis through immersive three-hour workshops designed to fit around your existing work commitments.
Your modules will give you a detailed understanding of two specific areas of the law and the specialist knowledge that is central to client care including professional conduct, negotiation and legal writing. You will use case studies to gain a practical understanding of legal practice.
You will have the opportunity to be mentored by a practising professional from the Leeds legal community, giving you insight into life in a law firm and access to one-to-one support to really sharpen your career prospects.
