Course content

The MSc Finance and Accounting programme provides essential knowledge, understanding and skills required for graduates to begin to operate competently and effectively within an accounting and financial management environment and is therefore targeted at students who are looking for either a professional career or career development in these areas.

The course also provides a postgraduate progression route for UK and International students who have completed related degrees at Undergraduate level, or who are already working or training in a professionally relevant context.

Professional accreditations will help Leeds Trinity University graduates to find appropriate graduate level jobs and develop their professional networking skills. The programme will allow students to potentially obtain a number of exemptions against CIMA and ACCA professional exams (subject to validation).
Course benefits
  • An opportunity to study at a professional postgraduate level to build on the skills and competences gained from either previous study or in the professional working context.
  • The potential to gain exemptions from selected professional accountancy examinations (CIMA and ACCA) and thus gain qualification as an accountant more quickly.
  • The chance to network with a global student community whilst completing study with well qualified and professionally experienced tutors.
  • Access to financial and professional networks in the Leeds area – the second financial city in the UK.
