The MA by Creative Practice provides an exciting course bringing together a vibrant mix of diverse subjectivities including Fine Art, Design, Drama, Dance, Performance Studies and Music; which is open to graduates from the UK and abroad.
The course is designed to suit both students progressing directly from undergraduate studies and also for more established creative professionals wishing to update and reinvigorate their practices.
The MA is comprised of both formally taught modules, delivered by a wide range of creative staff and practitioners; and an individual programme of practice and research negotiated with an appropriate subject specialist who acts as practice supervisor. The programme is facilitated by well equipped studios, practice and performance spaces supported by enthusiastic technical support.
There is strong emphasis on independent learning requiring personal responsibility, reflection and evaluation as well as ample scope for the dissemination of research outcomes in PGR Forums and in appropriately professional standard spaces within, and beyond, the university.
Applicants must be highly motivated with a strong desire to develop intellectually as well as developing an imaginative, thoughtful and exciting body of work.
