Entry requirements

Normally a First Class or Upper Second Class Honours Degree in a relevant discipline. Please note that a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formally the Criminal Records Bureau – CRB) is required for students where they are required to visit settings other than their own workplace and involves access to children.

Course content

The MA Education & Subject programme is an innovative new Masters level education programme, which is designed to enhance the subject knowledge and pedagogical knowledge of practising teachers, educators and others who have an interest in education.

The programme will provide participants with the opportunity to research and improve their own practice, by discovering the new skills that can be gained from studying their subject specialism to an advanced academic level. This process is supported by the study of contemporary education theory, through modules designed to provide the skills and critical understanding necessary to innovate in a rapidly evolving educational landscape.

Those who study on this programme, will be exposed to subject specific research informed teaching delivered by specialists in their field. Students who complete the course will attain a unique insight into contemporary thinking in their field and also in the field of learning and teaching.
